Alabama Sports Festival Honors Local Law Enforcement
Huntsville, Alabama
( October 27, 2008 ) Alabama Sports Festival will be hosting a Honoring Our
Heroes ceremony at Huntsville High School Auditorium on October 28,2008, at
6p.m.. The ceremony will be recognizing Jackson, Limestone, Madison, Marshall,
and Morgan County Law Enforcement personnel with 10 years of service. These
officers will receive a Medal of Distinction. The Medal of Valor will be
presented to the families of Sergeant Mims of the Athens Police Department and
Officers Golden and Freeman of the Huntsville Police Department, who lost a
loved one in the line of duty. This event is open to the public and all media
are invited to attend this special ceremony.
