Election Day 

                       

                     Huntsville, Alabama (November 3, 2008) In anticipation of a record number of voters turning out for the presidential race Tuesday, November 4, 2008. The Huntsville Police Department would like to assure the public that we have developed contingency plans with the Madison County Sheriffs Department to accommodate expected traffic problems and overcrowding that may be associated with the record turnout. The Huntsville Police Department would like to encourage voters to expect longer delays at the polling places and plan accordingly. Due to the expected turn out, we encourage voters to use patience as they stand in line to exercise their right to vote.
