HPD Arrest Suspect involved in Traffic Fatality for Manslaughter

                  Huntsville, Alabama (December 19, 2008) Officers with the Huntsville Police Department arrested Kettrick Derrell Hill, 28 years-of-age, of Huntsville and charged him with the  Manslaughter of John Allen Wampler, 43 years-of-age, of Brownsboro.

                  This incident was the result of a traffic accident that occurred on December 8, 2008, on Highway 72 and Campbell Road. Hill, a passenger in one of the vehicles and his girlfriend were in an argument when Hill allegedly jerked the steering wheel causing the vehicle to cross the median into oncoming traffic striking another vehicle. The vehicle they struck was driven by John Wampler who died later that day at Huntsville Hospital. Hill is currently in the Metro Jail awaiting bond.
