Two Charged with Arson Caused by a Bottle Rocket

 

Huntsville, Alabama (March 12, 2008) Two Huntsville men have been charged with Arson 1st degree after setting a bottle rocket to a homeowners metal door causing a fire. Spokesman Wendell Johnson said Benjamin Turner, age 22, and Jonathon Cassigno, age 26, allegedly went to a home on Hogan Drive in South Huntsville about 3:00 this morning. They then vandalized the homeowner’s property before igniting fireworks and a bottle rocket causing a fire. Huntsville Police responded and after a brief foot chase, the offenders were arrested and booked into the Madison County Metro Jail. Johnson said there have been several other cases of similar vandalism in the area. Investigators say additional charges could be filed.
