North Precinct Police Arrest Propst Drugs Robbery Suspect

 

Huntsville, Alabama (March 12, 2008) A Robbery suspect was arrested by Huntsville Police thanks to witnesses at the scene of the crime. Spokesman Wendell Johnson said 42-year-old James Michael Potter walked into Propst Drugs store at 717 Pratt Avenue Tuesday Morning. A store manager observed Potter allegedly stealing some merchandise. Potter jumped into a 1992 Ford Custom Van, when the manager attempted to stop him. The manager was dragged down the street and suffered injuries that required medical attention at Huntsville Hospital.

 

Johnson said some alert employees from Coca-Cola observed the incident and gave Police the van’s vehicle tag number. His van was spotted at intersection of Hoover and Hurst. A short time later, Potter was arrested at his home at 200 Bierne Avenue.

He was booked into the Madison County Metro Jail for Robbery 1^st degree.
