Victim, Suspect and Witness Charged in Robbery Case

 

Huntsville, Alabama (March 14, 2008) About 6:40 this morning, Huntsville Police were flagged down at the Red Carpet Inn, 3200 University Drive. The victim, 43-year-old Walter Mclin had just been robbed.  Spokesman Wendell Johnson said, when the suspect, Stepheon White, age 31, saw Police, he ran to a nearby hotel. An unknown witness told Police where White was. White, the suspect, was arrested and charged with Robbery 1^st degree.  

 

Johnson said further investigation revealed that McLin, the victim, was in possession of a phony $900.00 check from a local bank. McLin was charged with Theft of Property 2^nd degree. Meanwhile, the witness who helped Police was himself arrested and charged with Obstruction of Justice. He gave Police a fake name because he was wanted on several outstanding warrants. Johnson said all three men were booked into the Madison County Metro Jail
