Shooting Victim Dies of Wounds, Murder Suspect in Metro Jail

 

Huntsville, Alabama (May 23, 2008) A Phoenix City, Alabama man who was shot Wednesday night has died as a result of his wounds according to Huntsville Police. The murder suspect turned himself in Thursday night and has been booked for Murder. Major Crimes Investigator Charlie Gray said Christopher Eugene Culpepper, age, 44, of 179 Boswell Road in Phoenix City was shot Wednesday night while he and a female companion were walking down the street in the 2500 block of Freeman Road about 11:00 p.m. Marquise Nathaniel Ford, age 24, of 2910 Barbara Drive in Huntsville is the alleged gunman. The investigation is ongoing.
