Traffic Fatality

           

Huntsville, Alabama (September 15, 2008) At approximately 10:30 this morning, Communications received a call of a traffic crash on Technology Drive involving a bicycle and a SUV. Twenty-year-old Sarah Katherine Chapman of 202 Royal Pines Drive in Huntsville was traveling westbound on a bicycle. As the SUV approached from behind her, she swerved into its path and the driver was unable to avoid the collision. Ms. Chapman was transported to a local hospital where died a short time later. No charges are anticipated at this time. This is Huntsville’s 16th traffic fatality for 2008.
