 November 30^th HPD Shooting Within Policy

Huntsville, Alabama (December 18, 2009) Huntsville Police Chief Henry Reyes concurs with the unanimous findings of a departmental Incident Review Board that the November 30^th use of deadly force was “In Policy.” The Board met on Thursday December 17, 2009 to examine evidence and hear testimony surrounding the shooting incident of 24-year-old Robert Daniel Webb.  Police responded to a domestic call at 902-B Webster Avenue at approximately 5:15 p.m. on November 30, 2009.  The caller advised that her son was threatening the family with a knife. As the officers entered the residence they encountered a subject armed with two knives. The officers repeatedly tried to get the subject to put down the knives.  He refused and aggressively advanced on the officers.  As a result, the offender was shot and killed by two Huntsville Police Officers.
