Suspect Arrested for Murder
Huntsville,
Alabama (January 21, 2009):
Huntsville Police Investigators from the Major Crimes Unit arrested 28 year old
Wilbert James Smith of Montgomery, Alabama and charged him with Capital Murder
reference the murders of Bertjenski Peterson and Ronnie Pugh Jr. on 8/23/2008 at
2802 Hester Lane. The Investigation continues and more arrests are anticipated.
Anyone with information regarding Wilbert James Smith or the Hester Lane
Homicides please contact the Huntsville Police Department Major Crimes Unit at
213-4510. Mr. Smith is currently in the Madison County Metro Jail being held
without bond.
