HPD Needs Your Help in Locating Sex Offenders

Huntsville, Alabama (March 20, 2009) For the last two weeks Investigators of the Major Crime Unit of the Huntsville Police Department have been involved in compliance checks of known sex offenders in the Huntsville area. As result of those checks warrants for 14 offenders were obtained and 10 arrests have been made. The most recent arrest was that of Regenal Rice, 34 years of age, of 3009 Hood Road, Huntsville. Rice was arrested for 2 counts of Violation of the Community Notification Act: failing to do his bi-annual form 47 and for moving without giving a 30 day notice.

The Major Crimes Unit also needs your help in finding the following sex offenders that have outstanding warrants for their arrest:

Leroy King, 58 years of age, warrant for Violation of the Community Notification Act. He was originally charged with Sexual abuse to a 70 year old female.

Tony Hampton, 46 years of age, warrant for violation of the Community Notification Act. He was originally charged with Sexual Abuse First Degree.

Clifford Mastin, 51 years of age, warrant for Violation of the Community Notification Act. He was originally charged with Sodomy Second Degree, his victim was a 12 year old girl.
