Fraternal Order of Police To Recognize Fallen Heroes 

Huntsville, Alabama (May 8, 2009) On Monday, May 11, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., the Fraternal Order of Police, T.L. Blakemore Lodge #6, and Madison County law enforcement agencies will present a special “Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony”.  The event will be held at the south side of the Madison County Court House.

According to Huntsville Police Chief Henry Reyes, “This local ceremony is being held in conjunction with the National Law Enforcement Memorial Week. We will pay tribute to law enforcement officers who are assigned to agencies throughout Madison County, and to those who have given their lives in the line of duty.”

Huntsville Police Captain Mike Izzo, who is also Vice-President of the local F.O.P. said, “This is an important day for each of us to stop and pay our respects to those who have served the citizens of Madison County, and because they have paid the ultimate sacrifice. We hope the public will join us on this important occasion.”
