Huntsville Police Release Results of Drunk Driving, Over the Limit, Under Arrest Initiative
 

Huntsville, Alabama (September 09, 2009) Uniform Patrol Officers from the three precincts and members of the DUI Task Force participated in the Drunk Driving, Over the Limit, Under Arrest Campaign.  The effort began on August 21, 2009 and concluded at the end of the Labor Day Weekend.  The Huntsville Police Department’s participation is part of a national law enforcement response to discourage and remove drunk drivers from our streets and highways.  The local campaign began with the HANDS ACROSS THE BORDER detail on August 21, 2009.  The HPD DUI Task Force participated in several saturation patrols and checkpoints at designated “Hot Spot” locations across the city.
