Suspect Arrested in Robberies

Huntsville, Alabama (January 29, 2010) Huntsville Police Officers and members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested 24 y/o Andrew James Jones of Huntsville. The suspect has been charged with 4 Counts of Robbery 1^st Degree, 1 Count of Theft of Property 1^st Degree, & Attempted Murder. The arrest was the result of an investigation that linked the following four robberies to Andrew Jones.

These four robberies occurred:
January 22, 2010, at Harris Tire 1025 Jordan Rd.,
January 11, 2010, robbery to an Individual on Clifford Rd
January 19, 2010, at the Check ‘N Go 2207 University Dr
January 27, 2010, at Papa Johns (2018 Jordan Lane.

Several of the robberies involved the offender discharging a firearm in the course of the robbery with no injuries to the victims. The latest robbery which occurred at Papa Johns escalated into a robbery that involved the victim being shot and transported to Huntsville Hospital.

Jones has been booked into the Madison County Metro Jail awaiting bond.
