HPD Announces Road Closures
for Downtown Summerfest 2010
Huntsville, Alabama (June 24, 2010) The second annual Downtown Summerfest is scheduled to begin this Saturday June 26, 2010. This street concert will begin at 4 PM and conclude at midnight. The Huntsville Police Department will be closing the following streets on Saturday June 26, at 1 PM until Sunday June 27, at 2 AM.
Clinton Avenue from the parking garage to Lincoln Street
Washington Street from Holmes to Randolph Street
Greene Street from Holmes to Randolph Street
All traffic will resume to normal flow by 4 AM on Sunday June 27.
Motorists in the area of Downtown Huntsville on Saturday afternoon and evening should be aware of pedestrian traffic crossing the roadways to attend the event.
All area city parking garages will be open to accommodate attendees to this event with the primary garage located at the gateway entrance on Clinton Avenue between Washington Street and Jefferson Street. This will be the only entrance for attendees to enter and exit the Summerfest concert.
