Free Crime Prevention
Seminar Open to the Public
Huntsville, Alabama (July 25, 2012)
The Huntsville Police Department and The
Huntsville Community Watch Association (HCWA) announce a Crime Prevention
Through Environmental Design, (CPTED) and Community Crime Prevention 3-Day
Training Seminar. The seminar is based on the idea that the proper design and
effective use of the built environment can lead to a reduction in the incidence
and fear of crime, and an improvement in the quality of life. It is a
multidisciplinary approach to deterring criminal behavior.
The training will be conducted at Columbia High School located at 300 Explorer
Blvd. in the Research Park Industrial Complex.
The dates and times for the seminar are as follows:
Thursday, August 2nd 1 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday, August 3rd 1 p.m. – 9 p.m
Saturday, August 4th 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Applicants must visit the HCWA website at
www.hsvcommunitywatch.com to print the registration form and it must be
completed and received by HCWA by Tuesday, July 31, 2012.
