On September 26, 2006, Huntsville Police accepted a $1,647 donation from the Target Corporation. This generous donation allowed our HPD Bike patrol to purchase another Trek Police Patrol Bicycle for their unit.

These bicycles allow Huntsville Police Officers to easily move through crowds, malls, greenways, and various community events where patrol cars will not physically fit. Bicycles offer increased mobility, rapid response, and more thorough coverage than foot patrol.

The Huntsville Police Department would like to sincerely thank the Target Corporation for this generous donation.
